Review Authenticity Policy

1. Introduction
This Review Authenticity Policy explains how reviews displayed on our website are collected, verified and moderated.
We comply with the EU Omnibus Directive (§ 5b Abs. 3 UWG), which requires transparency about the authenticity of customer reviews.
2. Reviews collected directly via our online shop (WiserReview / WooCommerce)
2.1 Verified reviews
Reviews that customers submit directly through our online shop — using WiserReview (previously Judge.me) — are verified.
How verification works:
- Only customers who have purchased the product through our shop receive a review invitation.
- A unique, time-limited review link is sent to the email address used for the order.
- Reviews can only be submitted using this link.
- We do not offer discounts, gifts or incentives in exchange for positive reviews.
These reviews are marked as “Verified Review” (or equivalent wording provided by the review system).
2.2 Content moderation
We may remove a review if it:
- contains hate speech, abusive or illegal content
- includes personal data of third parties
- is clearly spam, automated, or unrelated to the product
- contains advertising for third-party products or services
Negative reviews are never deleted solely because they are negative.
3. Reviews originally imported from Amazon
Some reviews were originally collected and verified on Amazon before being imported into Judge.me and later transferred to WiserReview.
3.1 Authenticity
Authenticity for these imported reviews was confirmed by Amazon’s own verification system at the time of submission.
3.2 Our role
- We do not independently re-verify these imported reviews.
- We only import them if the reviewer was marked as “Verified Purchase” (or equivalent) on Amazon at the time of import.
Imported Amazon reviews are clearly designated as “Imported Review” or similar.
4. Google Maps reviews
We display Google Maps reviews from our business profile on our website.
4.1 Authenticity of Google Maps reviews
Google Maps reviews are not verified by us.
We have no technical ability to check whether these reviews were written by actual customers.
They are therefore classified as unverified external reviews.
Google may apply its own automated authenticity checks, but we do not control or influence this process.
5. Reviews from previous platforms
In cases where older reviews were migrated between Judge.me and WiserReview:
- The original verification status is preserved if provided by the system
- If verification cannot be guaranteed, the review is marked as unverified
We do not alter or manipulate migrated reviews.
6. No incentives for reviews
We do not offer:
- discounts
- free products
- loyalty points
- financial compensation
in exchange for reviews.
Reviews are voluntary and unbiased.
7. Images and videos
Photo and video uploads through WiserReview are allowed.
Such media is manually checked to prevent:
- copyright violations
- inappropriate or offensive content
- AI-generated or manipulated imagery intended to mislead customers
